Super Bowl 2012

Five years ago the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII, this year's Super Bowl was the opportunity for the New England Patriots to get their revenge. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. A game winning drive including an amazing sideline catch by Mario Manningham helped the Giants stun the Patriots 21-17. Kelly Clarkson began the festivities with a rousing rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. International superstar Madonna was the halftime entertainment as she performed some of her greatest hits such as Vogue and Like A Prayer. Although Madonna was the halftime entertainment, the real superstar of the game was the Eli Manning as he passed for 296 yards and one touchdown but no pass was bigger than to Manningham. Eli walked away with his second MVP in as many Super Bowls.

Hello everyone! I want to welcome you to AOZ's new project, askaoz.com. This is very exciting for all the members of AOZ.

This blog was started because I saw an opportunity to not only bring my friends together in a project, but also bring other potential AOZ members too. Its a collaborative effort between my friends (original AOZ) and future AOZ members (you!) to join together to bounce ideas between one another.
These ideas can be whatever you can think of: business, personal gain or insight, financial, school, family issues, etc. (you get the point). Its a place where people come together to discuss and exchange honest, from the heart advice from people that are going through the same issues.

Heres's the story of the original AOZ. AOZ are actually college kids I met through my older sister Maddy. Side note: I was very close to my older sister so I went every spring break and any chance I got to go visit her in Penn State, State College, PA. The original AOZ were loud, argumentative, loved to dissect their friends problems and give advice and they were a whole lotta fun. They were the oddest people I met and I felt an instant attraction to them. In college, they felt like they were all oddballs in comparison to the rest of the student body at Penn State. So they made up their own fraternity and they called it AOZ.

At the time I considered myself an odd ball too. My family just moved from inner city Newark to Surburbia Randolph, NJ. So I definitely didn't fit in right away. Not to mention my family isn't what you would call "typical Dominican" family. Needless to say, I wanted in on AOZ. It took years before I was considered part of the group, but it was well worth the wait. I have found a group of the craziest, funniest, most supportive friends I've met.

I dedicate this blog and our future efforts to all oddballs out there.
